The study examined the fates of 256 students who enrolled as first-year students in the same fall semester. The students were classified according to gender and their declared major at the beginning of the second year. The students studied were enrolled at a large Midwestern university several years ago. Discuss how you would conduct a similar study at a college or university of your choice today. Include a description of all variables that you would collect for your study.

Given that,

Lets conduct a similar study at a college level or a university of choice.

Lets say we want to see which university does person go for his post graduation after his undergraduation in university X.. We might want to do a ANOVA test on whether number of people going into all colleges are equal. We might want to do this for several batches, to get an idea if this works or not.

I would want to collect variables of influence. Some of them can be:

1. Score on the GMAT - This might effect where a person lands up post graduation

2. Score on other parametrized tests -  This might effect where a person lands up post graduation. A higher score means better standing to get offered from a university of choice

3. Gender - Certain universities might be skewed in terms of intake by gender becuase of the roles/jobs offered post graduation

4. Age - Certain universities are good for certain age groups of people

5. What is his native place - A person might be inclined to go back to his native place for graduation

6. Whether his post grad university is better than this under grad university?
