Answer #1

a)

For nickel and sodium

Note that sodium >> nickel

therefore, expect Na(s) --> Na+

and nickel will reduce

2Na(s) + NiCl2(aq) --> 2NaCl(aq) + Ni+2(aq)

b)

Ag is much more stable, Fe is much more acitve so

Fe(s) + AgNO3(aq) = Fe(NO3)3(aq) + Ag(s)

balance

Fe(s) + 3AgNO3(aq) = Fe(NO3)3(aq) + 3Ag(s)

c)

Ca is much more active than Zinc, so expect no reaction

Zn(s) remains and CaBr2(aq) remain in solution
