  1. For circuit (a), with J1 opened:
  1. Calculate the time constant of the circuit, τ1,

τ1 =   100 μs

  1. Using a square wave with a period 20τ1 and a 2-VPP, plot the wave forms for channels (1), (2), and the difference between them (vR1), and

f1 = 1/ (20τ1)= 500 Hz

  1. For circuit (a), with J1 closed:
  1. Calculate the time constant of the circuit, τ2, when R2 = 100%, and

τ2 =   50 μs

f2 = 1/ (20τ2)= 1 kHz

  

  1. For circuit (b):
  1. Calculate the time constant of the circuit, τ3, when R = 50%,

τ3 =   20 μs

f3 = 1/ (20τ3)= 25 kHz

  1. Calculate iC in circuit (a) and vL in circuit (b).
