Concentration of nitrate ion = 50 ppm

Formula weight M = 62 mg/mmol

We know that

1 ppm = 1 mg/kg

50 ppm = 50 mg/kg

Concentration of nitrate ion C = 50 mg/kg

Moles of nitrate ion = C/M

= (50 mg/kg) / (62 mg/mmol)

= 0.806 mmol/kg
