Kit Kat is an already established brand. Product placement for Kit Kat are supermarkets, gas stations, e-commerce websites and also the airports. Since there is always a family or a mother or any group of people in these areas, the strategy is to create visibility to attract them to buy the product.

Promotional materials can be provided to other consumer segment such as schools, colleges and the corporate world. There is no one who would refuse a chocolate. Fliers are inexpensive and used for mass population. This would ensure that the untapped consumer segment can be attracted to buy the Kit Kat chocolates. The slogan to take a break and have a kit kat is a great strategy to the stressed lot. T-shirts too is a great promotional material as it attracts the consumers and makes them to be loyal.

We can measure the success for promotional program by calculating Return on Investments (ROI). Since Kit Kat has global presence, the company need to segment geographically. Let us assume that the profit is $1000 for 500 units of Kit Kat. Then, the profit is $2. So any profit above $1000 is the profit amount. Say the company has invested $500 for fliers in a specific county, then the returns should be more than $500 which is the profit.
