Question

I just want to clarify what I need help on (as I do not need help on the full question). Specifically what I want is to be able to set the equations given to me so that I can solve for n using a root finding algorithm (which I already have).

As I understand, I need something of the form | Tn(x) - e^x | = epsilon machine = (x^(n+1) / (n+1)!) and all I need from there is to rearrange the equation so that I can set it equal to zero, plug in a given value of x, and use my root finding algorithm to find the solution (n).

Essentially, I am having trouble deriving the non-linear function of a single variable.

Question 3 - Solve some real rootfinding problems Each of the following math problems will lead to a non-linear function ofHere you will attempt to write a function to calculate e^ us ng its Taylor polynomial approximation expanded around Xo = 0 e*

(2.5 pts) Consider a numerical approximation to s° V1 + x*dx (our methods of integrating don't work for this function, so it is our only option). For each of Ln, Rn, Mn, Tn, and Sn find n so that the approximation is accurate to six decimal places (i.e. off by no more than 10-6) Note: this problem deals strictly with finding the value of K and then choosing n so that the error is small enough. dont ans this question Euler's method is based on the fact that the tangent line gives a good local approximation for the function. But why restrict ourselves to linear approximants when higher degree polynomial approximants are available? For example, we can use the Taylor polynomial of degree about = No, which is defined by P.(x) = y(x) + y (xo)(x – Xa) + 21 (x- This polynomial is the nth partial sum of the Taylor series representation (te) (x –...

What does it mean to 'solve a polynomial inequality'? What do you look for in the original problem to know that it is indeed a polynomial inequality? What cues do you look for to help you get the solution process started? What might the solutions to the polynomial inequality look like? Include a specific example of at least one polynomial inequality. You may state the polynomial inequality only, no need to solve it. For example, "I know ... is a...
