The number of units sold to achieve a profit is calculated by using the following table,

Direct labor cost 21 × 0.2= 4.2 $4.2 Per unit
Direct material cost $4.00 per unit
Overhead cost 120% of direct labor $5.04
Packaging and Shipping $1.20 Per unit
Total Variable cost $14.44

Now the contribution margin is,

CM = Sales-VC

20-14.44

5,56

So, the number of units sold is,

=Desired profit/ Contribution Margin

25, 000 5.56

4,496.40

The number of units sold achieve $25000 profit is 4,496.40 units
