As noted in the readings, bad data could lead to bad predictions.
Give an example of bad data that led to a bad prediction. Cite your source.
If the data collected is wrong, it can lead to wrong predictions
during the research time.
Example: One had to calculate the number of
commuters taking the taxis each day. The data collected for the day
was of the people taking taxis for work in the morning. (Obsuszt,
2020)
The wrong data was collected as the number of people taking back
the taxis from the work was not calculated and hence the
predictions made for launch of a new taxi was reached to be
wrong.
Hence, while making a decision, it becomes essential to have a
correct and verified data set.

Give an example of data that could be obtained to make a prediction. Discuss lurking variables and why the correlation may not imply causation. Correlation and Regression is typically most students’ favorite area in statistics because it gives the ability to make predictions. Give an example of data that could be obtained to make a prediction. Discuss lurking variables and why the correlation may not imply causation.
Describe how knowing the type of distribution of your data can lead to better predictions and more informed understanding (i.e., expectation) of the processes that may have led to the data's distribution. Be specific and use (qualitatively) a real world example from environmental science to illustrate your answer.
In the readings for this topic, the methods for gathering data are provided. However, there is little discussion about organizations that utilize data to gauge guest satisfaction and retention with concessions and merchandising. Cite a source that discusses the cyclical impact of analytics and guest services as it relates to concessions and merchandising.
