Can you give both a good and a bad example of leaders you have known and how s/he lead the team.
As a professional in the corporate world for the last four years, I have been experiencing leadership and both good and bad aspects of leadership as well. The very first project I was associated with was a tram of seven members and the leader was Fred who was new in the business domain and had some knolwedge issues and therefore things became difficult for him and in emergency situations he used to panick a lot. He also resorted in micro management of the team members and even got involved with them in personal matters. The team started to feel uneasy under him and issues cropped up and therefore the performance declined too.
In my current project we have a team or 19 members and the team us lead by Bob, he is one of the finest leaders I have been working for in my professional career. He is sound both technically and in terms of domain knowledge as well and he always believs in involving team members in the decision making process therefore he as a leader is preferred by the team and not only that he always believes that employees need to have certain independence in the workplace as well and that should be given to them. I always believed that under Bob I always enjoyed my work but Fred made it quite difficult for me to focus on work and do better.
