Answer #1
  1. In mammals, the salivary gland is said to be exocrine gland which produces saliva. The salivary glands in humans are paired and these are namely parotid, submandibular, and sublingual salivary glands. Thus, the given statement is TRUE.
  2. The peritoneum membrane is a serous membrane that lines the abdominopelvic cavity. This serous membrane has two layers namely parietal peritoneum and visceral peritoneum. The intestinal walls of the abdominal cavity are covered by the parietal peritoneum which leads to the formation of a sac-like structure known as the peritoneal cavity. Therefore, the parietal peritoneum lines the peritoneal cavity.
  3. The breakdown of the food in the small intestine is caused by duodenum with the help of enzymes. The emptying of stomach contents is regulated by the duodenum. The release of enzymes such as secretin and cholecystokinin, cause the liver, gallbladder, and exocrine pancreases to release bile, bicarbonates and digestive enzymes. Therefore, the correct options are B, C, F, and G.
  4. The deoxygenated blood containing nutrients absorbed from the small intestine delivers the contents with more oxygen to the liver and this supply of nutrient is carried out by the hepatic portal vein. Therefore, the digestive nutrients from the intestines arrive at the liver by traveling through the hepatic portal vein.
  5. In males, the base of the prostate lies inferior to the urinary bladder and the seminal vesicles lie posterior to the bladder.
  6. The ejaculatory duct is formed when the seminal vesicle ducts merge with the Vas deferens and it opens to the urethra.Therefore. the correct option is F.
