2) Let the acceleration due to gravity on the planet be g

Then the distance through which the rock falls in time t is

\small d=\frac{gt^2}{2}

Therefore the acceleration due to gravity is

\small g=\frac{2d}{t^2}=\frac{2\times 2}{1^2}=4\,\,m/s^2

The weight of the rock is

\small F=mg=1\times 4 = 4\,N
