Extreme Programming model represents how the software can be build.XP planning phase is divided in two parts:

Release Planning: This planning is focussed on determining the requirements and going for the near term releases and when it's to be delivered. It involves the releases based on the interactions between the developers and the customers. It involves the planning about the release of the software on terms of interaction between the developers and customers.

Iteration Planning: This includes the work activities, routine and tasks performed by the developers while working on for the software. It is about the development ,testing, coding that's software development phase of a developer and doesn't include the customer intervention.
