Answer #1

Distribution system concept and Technical aspects-

the distribution concept involves the distribution of electrical power which coming from the generating stations. The voltage from generating stations breaks into different level of voltages. The different types of conductor strands with different ratings are present to handle different types of voltage level. The power level and voltage level can be changed by using the step up and step down transformer. The power factor is also one of the important factor. The direction of power flow is decided by the leading and lagging power factor at two terminals.

Load flow studies and overall power grid-

The load flow studies has been done by the electrical engineer to plan and design power plant with respect of future expansion. The power and voltage level is the two primary information we get initially. The power system network is very complex, to have better compilation, we have to use some software to look out the real condition of power plant. And to calculate the active and reactive power flowing in the system.

The overall power grid involves the generating station, the switchgear protection system, the distributin part and the load area. To have the smooth orking of the system, every part should be in continuous analysis.

Utilitu frequency-

some country uses 50Hz and other used 60Hz frequency as their working frequency. But due to change in demand or changing in load condition the operating frequency may fluctuate. This fluctuations should be in limit otherwise, the whole grid system may fail. The load shedding is a condition when some of the loads are removed to prevent the failure of entire electrical system. This may take place due to the fluctuation in loading.

I need help to solve this questions about Generator Governor Droop and Transmission Line. A complete solutions with answers would be great. Thank you Generation Question 1 to 5 relate to the following grid connected generator. A governor-controlled, steam-driven 450 MW synchronous generator with 5% droop is synchronized to the 60 Hz grid and its load set-point adjusted to deliver 300 MW to the grid. Q1. (a) 000 What is the actual droop of the generating unit? 0.0225 Hz/MW (b)...
