Answer #1

Assuming a communication system transmitting M-ary symbols X whereas the symbols observed at the receiver are denoted as Y, if we consider probability of various outcomes depending on values of X, this will be priori probability and if we consider probability of various outcomes depending on values of Y, this will be posteriori probability.

please solve quickly In a communication system, bits 0 and 1 are planned to be transmitted. The probability of transmitting the bit Ois 0.84. During the transmission, each bit is flipped (.e., turning the bit 1 into the bit or the bit into the bit 1) with probability 0.14. Random variables X and Y are defined to denote the transmitted and received bits, respectively. Calculate the correlation coefficient between X and Y. Answer: CHECK

    2. Goal of this problem is to study how tunnelling in a two-well system emerges. In particular, we are interested in determining how the tunnelling rate T' of a particle with mass m scales as a function of the (effective) height Vo - E and width b of an energy barrier separating the two wells. The following graphics illustrates the set-up. Initially the particle may be trapped on the left side corresponding to the state |L〉, we are now interested...
