its speed are classified under the term Depressants. They reduce
the speed of the brain and the nerves. These drugs act directly on

depressants is to relieve tension and anxiety and to promote
sleep.
Some of the side effects of alcohol are-
• It brings a change in the behavior of the person who has consumed
it. Loss of clarity and absence of smart behavior is the most
common effect of alcohol.
• The person can experience a loss of memory during the time he had
consumed the alcohol. After coming back to senses there is a chance
that the person may not remember the activities during the time he
was consuming the alcohol and after it.
• Alcohol consumption slurs the speech of the person and is a
barrier for an effective communication.
• Many diseases related to heart, lungs and organs’ dysfunction are
the result of much consumption of alcohol.
• Loss of emotional control over the body and speech disorders are
the common effects of alcohol.
