Since radius is one and distance is one the shared intersection itself is a piece that can be depicted as 4* the quarter piece of it.
so simply find out the quarter piece will make it easier.
so the integral would find the area under the curve from when x=0. lets assume that one disk is on the origin
and then the other disc is 1 to the right.
so all we need to sweep to their intersection which is conveniently the middle

so set up the integeral for circle. notice the symmetrical ness
x and y are equal so really what you want is the area of y
the integral of √(1-x^2) from 1/2 to 1. will get you a quarter then after u get the answer to the integral multiply by 4 and that is the area of intersection.
