Answer #1

1) The key points of Von Neumann architecture are:

(i) Central processing Unit for data processing and consists of ALU (arithmetic and logic unit) and registers,

(ii) Control unit consists of program counter and instruction register,

(iii) Memory to store data,

(iv) Input and output devices,

(v) External storage.

2nd Part:

In the last 30 years computers have evolved a lot. From the 1990's the computers were built on fourth generation technology. However the progress in computer hardware for the last 30 years are :

(i) Increasing numbers of transistors in processors,

(ii) Graphical user interface,

(iii) Usage of computer networks and improvements of network technology,

(iv) Increasing number of colors in the Monitor or VDU (Visual display unit),

(v) Improvement of computer memory in terms of memory size or frequency,

(vi) Increasing speed of processing and storage devices,

(vii) Improved processor and GPU fabrication technology to reduce heating.

2) 5 latest CPUs available in the market:

CPU Name Processor Fabrication Number of cores / Threads Clock Speed Cache Memory Price

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

12 nm 8 / 16 4.3 GHz 19 MB $ 300

Intel Core i7-8700K

14 nm 6 /12 4.7 GHz 12 MB $ 380

Intel Core i7-9700K

14 nm 8/8 4.9 GHz 12 MB $ 414

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

12 nm 6 /12 4.2 GHz 19 MB $ 200

AMD Ryzen 5 2400G

12 nm 4 / 8 3.9 GHz 6 MB $ 140

2nd Part:

5 latest GPUs available in the market:

GPU Name Bus Width Core Clock Memory Clock Memory Size Memory Type Price

MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1060

192 bit 1835 MHz 1759 MHz 6 GB GDDR5 $ 280
XFX Radeon RX 580 256 bit 1196 MHz 1500 MHz 8 GB GDDR5 $ 199

ASUS GEFORCE GTX 1050

128 bit 1518 MHz 1752 Mhz 2 GB GDDR5 $ 130

ASUS GEFORCE RTX 2070

256 bit 1845 MHz 3500 MHz 8 GB GDDR6 $ 550

ASUS GEFORCE GTX 1070

256 bit 1860 MHz 2000 MHz 8 GB GDDR5 $ 450

3) 1 Terabyte = 1024 Gigabytes

1 Gigabyte = 1024 Megabytes

1 Megabyte = 1024 Kilobytes

1 Kilobyte = 1024 Bytes

1 Byte = 8 Bits

5.3 Terabytes = (5.3*1024*1024*1024*1024*8) Bits = (5.3*243) Bits

Hope this helps.
