Ciliobrevin disrupts the movement of materials along the cilia.It pertrub protein trafficking with in the primary ciliaand cause significant increase in intra flagellar transport protein levels at the distal tip of primary cilia. It disrupts the primary cilium dependent gli regulation and block hedgehog signaling. It also disrupts the spindle pole focussing, cold-stable microtubule formation, kinetochore-microtubule attachment, melanosome aggregation.
