Answer #1

Muscular foot, veliger larva- and most species have a calcium carbonate shell- Mollusca

Molluscs are characterized by possessing calcareous cells enclosing the soft body. Veliger larval stage is found in most of the molluscs. They possess muscular foots for slow locomotion.. They are one of the largest phylum of marine lives.

Example- Snails

Jointed appendages, chitinous exoskeleton- Arthropoda,

This is one of the largest group of animal kingdom. They have jointed legs (hence the name arthropoda). They have covering made up of chitin. Example- Cockroaches, locusts etc.

Hollow. porous body with no true tissue- Porifera

Poriferans do not have any true tissues. They are made up of several pores and channels for circulation of water. They also contain gely like mesophyll cells. They do not have digestive or nervous system.

Example. Desmosponges

Worms round in cross section and tapered at ends- Nematoda

Nematodes or round worms are slender and unsegmented worms. They are circular in cross section but both the extreme ends show gradual tapering. They possess tubular digestive systems.

Example- Ascaridida

Flattened body, no coelom- Platyhelminthes

Members of platyhelminthes are mostly parasitic. Therefore they do not need coelom or digestive system because the simply absorb pre digested food by suckers. Actually they are flat only because of absence of coelom

Example - Tapeworm,

notochord, pharyngeal slits post anal tails- Chordata

Chordates are characterized by presence of notochord, pharyngeal slits and post anal tails at some stages of their life cycle..

Example- Amphibians, reptiles

eight rows of cillia, may have sticky tentacles- ctenophora

Ctenophores or comb gellies are one of the largest animals who swim with help of cilia. They possess eight rows of sticky cilia , Some members also posess tentacles. Tentacles help in predation

Example- Typhlocoela

Body divided into segments separated by internal septa- Annelida

Annelida are segmented animals because of presence of septa. They are invertebrates.

Example- Earthworm. Leech

Have calcium carbonate spines and a water vascular system- Echinodermata

Echinoderms are mostly marine animals. They contsin water vascular system and calcites made up od calcium carbonate.

Example- Star fish

radial symmetry, gastrovascular cavity and stinging cells- Cnideria

Cniderians are found abundantly in both fresh water and marine ecosystem. They have radial symmetry as well as gastrovascular cavity for digestion of prey. The presence of tentacles help in predation.

Example- Sea anemone
