Nor adrenaline is a neurotransmitter of sympathetic nervous system. It is mainly secreted by adrenal medulla. Synthesised from tyrosine.

Norepinephrine (NE), also called noradrenaline (NA) or noradrenalin, is an organic chemical in the catecholamine family that functions in the brain and body as a hormone and neurotransmitter.

Role of NE in body:-

I) It help in bringing all the changes in body which are required during fight and flight situations.

Increses blood sugar level

Increase skeletal muscle perfusion

Increase heart rate

Cause pupilary dilatation.

2) it brings all sympathetic nervous system changes

3) increase heart rate and blood press in case of hypotension.

4) maintain constant blood pressure in body.

5) Cause broncodilatation so that more oxygen reaches blood.
