Entropy is degree of randomness,or disorder,more disorder means larger the entropy

The number of particles increases ,that is 2 moles of Cl2O7(g) decomposes to total 9 moles of gaseous product that is 2 moles of Cl2(g) and 7 moles of O2(g),so disorder increases

\DeltaS=[Sum of entropy of product]-[Sum of entropy of reactant]

Entropy of product will be higher than that of reactant because more number of gaseous moles are there in the product side ,so more disorder it will become,so \Delta S is positive for the process.
