Isopentyl Acetate (Banana Oil)- IR Spectrum
I need help in assigning the following IR peaks: alkane C–H stretch, C=O stretch, alkane CH2 bend and C–O stretch . Thanks.
Alkane C-H stretch ----- > 2961.11 cm-1
-C=O stretch ------ > 1739.53 cm-1
Alkane -CH2 bend ------ > 1366.89 cm-1
ester -C-O- stretch -----> 1228.61 cm-1

i need help assigning peaks for this IR spectrum
I need help assigning peaks in this spectrum for the listed product. I was told the following but can't figure out which is which. Can someone check and show me which is which? I was told 3.9 is th ch3 next to O 6.9 is CH para to OCH3 in ring 4.1 is ch2 next to Alkene 7.3 is Ch aromatic between CH However I couldn't figure out what that meant and it seemed like it was missing a peak....
Banana oil, AKA isopentyl acetate, contains the ester functional group (like methyl benzoate). What products are formed if isopentyl acetate is treated with a huge excess of water in the presence of a dilute acid catalyst? Briefly explain. You will need to look up the structure of isopentyl acetate. Your answer should include a balanced reaction
my actual yield of banana pil is 0.297 need theorticla tield and percnet yield use isopentyl alcohol 150 ml of alcohol 17 ml acetic acid Iml concentrated sulfuric acid 2 or 3 boiling base in a fiat bottom flask 17.64 gr banana oil need percent yield and theoretical yield of banana oil You need to calculate it with isopentyl alcohol no acetic acid. Then convert mmols to moles, so you just need divide the mmmols by 1000, after that since...
IR Spectrum of Benzophenone and Triphenylmethanol I have partly labeled these two IR spectrums but need help making sure I did it correct and if I need to label any other important peaks corresponding to the structures. See underneath each picture for the labeled peaks and if they are correct/if I should label any others. Benzophenone: C-H stretch (aromatics) at around 3000-3100? C=O strecth (ketone) at around 1700? Any others that I missed that are important for me to label?...
Hi I need help identifying three major peaks of ethyl acetate & ethyl 3-hydroxybutanoate IR & if you can please circle on the pic the peaks with the appropriate wave number... thanks g0 80 60 %T 40 20 1000 4000 3000 2000
i am not sure how to answer the bottom question... Examine the IR spectrum below and identity as molecule (1-chlorohentanel and consider all expe ational modes even in the fingerprint (you do regions of the expected vibrations) entify as many peaks as you can. Draw the structure of the er all expected peaks, labeling them with functional groups serprint (you do not need to label individual peaks, only Heptane, 1-chloro- INFRARED SPECTRUM 800 Iloco Co chloride) c-c. i need the peaks explained for both and the chemical structure! Here is the IR spectrum as well References Mailings Review View Zotero Help contain viruses. Integration values in parentheses) are provided on the proton spectrum. For the C-13 spectrum, the sign of the peak for a DEPT-135 spectrum (not shown) are provided. The FTIR...
Label 1H NMR peaks for Isoamyl acetate? Here is the 1H NMR spectrum I have for isoamyl acetate. The question says to clearly assign all peaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
