Answer #1

IR spectra :
= two intense peaks at 3400 and 3500 cm-1 indicates presence of -NH2 group.

= peaks above and below 3000 cm-1 indicates sp2C-H and sp3C-H stretching respectively.

= moderate to intense peaks 1450-1620 cm-1 : aromatic ring -C=C- stretching.

= 1200-1300 cm-1 stron peak : C-O stretching.

1H-NMR :

= 3.8-4.0 ppm : complex overlap multiplet peak , 5H.

= 6.8-7.0 ppm : 4H , aromatic protons multiplet peaks.

13C-NMR :   7 non-equivalent protons :

= 56 ppm : 1 sp3C : +ve in 13C-DEPT , it might be -OCH3.'

= 6 'C' in sp2 region : 4 C ( +ve in 13C-DEPT => =C-H ) ;; 2C ( 0 in 13C-DEPT) thus =C- without 'H'.

Most probable structure : molecular formula = C7H9N.

o-Anisidine or 2-methoxyaniline.
