Answer #1

Tryptic soy Agar and Nutrient Agar general-purpose media and hence the wide range of bacteria can grow on both the media. We cannot identify specific bacteria with this agar.

Eosin methylene blue plate inhibits the growth of the gram-positive organism. There is hardly any growth in EMB agar hence the organism can be gram-positive. Gram-negative organism grows on EMB agar.

Phenyl ethanol agar is a selective medium used to inhibit the growth of Gram-negative organisms and encourage the growth of the gram-positive organism. A large number of colonies are observed on Phenyl ethanol agar plate hence the organism is gram-positive.

We can conclude that the organism is Gram-positive like Staphylococcus aureus because it has shown grown on Phenyl ethanol agar. To confirm the organism further biochemical test is essential.
