Answer #1

Solution:

The car's momentum is not changing.

This implies that the dp/dt = 0

=> Force and hence acceleration = 0

Velocity of the car at the time t1 = 16 s is momentum / mass

v = < 5500 , 0 , -3600 > /(1000) = < 5.5 , 0 , -3.6 >

Displacement of the car , when velocity is constant = X = vt

= <5.5 ,0 , -3.6 > * ( 20 - 16 ) = < 5.5 *4 , 0 , -3.6 * 4>

                                               = < 112 + 22, 0 , 20- 14.4 > m

=> Position of the car at t=20 s = < 134 , 0 , 5.6 > m
