Answer #1
Concepts and reason

The concept used to solve the given problem is the knowledge of Glycosaminoglycans. The Glycosaminoglycans are the unbranched polysaccharides that consists of disaccharide units that recur itself. The disaccharide unit mainly consists of amino sugar such as Nacetylglucosamine{\rm{N - acetylglucosamine}} or Nacetylgalactosamine{\rm{N - acetylgalactosamine}} along with the uronic sugar or galactose unit attached.

Fundamentals

Keratan is also the example of Glycosaminoglycan in which the sulphate group is present in the amino sugar unit. The amino sugar present in GAGs is Nacetylglucosamine{\rm{N - acetylglucosamine}} or Nacetylgalactosamine{\rm{N - acetylgalactosamine}} .

Those which contains these units, belongs to GAGs.

The Nacetylglucosamine{\rm{N - acetylglucosamine}} or Nacetylgalactosamine{\rm{N - acetylgalactosamine}} structure are as follows:

NH

HOY
Но -
ОН

The Keratan sulfate unit contains the sulphate group attached to the amino sugar group as follows:

Но
HN

In structure B both the disaccharide unit consist of glucose sugar unit or the uronic sugar unit linked by the glycosidic bond.

In Structure E the disaccharide unit consist of glucose unit and the pentose sugar attached by the glycosidic bond.

CH,OH

Both of these structures do not contain any amino group attached in disaccharide.

The structure A contains uronic sugar unit attached with the amino sugar Nacetylglucosamine{\rm{N - acetylglucosamine}} .

The structure C contains the uronic sugar unit attached with the amino sugar Keratan sulfate.

Structure D contains the uronic sugar unit attached with the amino sugar Nacetylglucosamine{\rm{N - acetylglucosamine}} .

Ans:

The examples of glycosaminoglycans are structures A, C and D.

answer 1-4 Polymers are large molecules that exist in chains composed of smaller repeating units called monomers. They can come in many forms according to substitution patterns and functional groups. Linear polymers have the monomers repeated in just one line. Cross-linked polymers are branched. Linear polymers have just two ends. Cross-linked have more than two ends. If more than two functional groups (reactive sites) are present in the monomer, the monomers may connect to each other by cross-linking to form...

What characteristics of plants allow them to be cloned relatively easily, whereas cloning in animals is rare and difficult to achieve? Select all that apply. Select all that apply. Plant cells are often totipotent, which makes the cloning process much easier because there is no need to "reprogram" the nucleus. Plants can be easily propagated through vegetative reproduction. It is easier to manipulate plant cells during cloning because they have a cellulose cell wall that makes them solid and less...
