On December 5, following a significant and unexpected increase in the price of crystal wares, AA decided to revoke its offer to Baker. Baker was notified of the revocation on December 8 On December 19, Baker mailed a letter to AA accepting the offer. AA received the letter of acceptance on December 24. Is there a valid contract? Please explain. Question 3 will be based upon the following fact situation. Brad owned three identical sail boats. The boats were named Ace, Speedy, and Windy. Brad, on March 22, sent written offers to sell the three boats in the order named for $6,800 each to Andrew, Elvis,, and Annette, and gave them 15 days to think about the offer and to accept. In which, if any, of the following situations was a contract formed? Please explain. 3a. Five days later on March 27, Andrew received a letter from Brad in which Brad indicated that he had sold Ace to another buyer. The following day, Andrew sent a letter of acceptance to Brad accepting the offer to buy Ace for the stated price 3b. Four days after receiving the offer (March 26), Elvis sent a letter to Brad indicating that he was not interested in the offer. Brad received this letter two days later on March 28. Elvis thought more about the boat after he sent the letter of rejection, changed his mind, and called Brad on the 26th and left a message on Brads phone accepting the offer. 3c. Annette sent a letter to Brad on March 24 indicating that he was very interested in buying Windy but thought the price appeared somewhat steep and wondered if, maybe, Brad would be willing to sell the boat for $5,000. Four days later, not having received a response from Brad, Annette accepted the original offer by letter and sent a check in the amount of $6,800.
