Australopithecus iis a collection of Homonin species that lived 4.18 - 2 million years ago. Bone fossils found in Euthopia indicated use of stone in butchering animals. Also they showed presence of canine teeth which indicates meat was a part of their diet.

More massive skulls and larger teeth make a hominin robust,Key features were having a larger brain, and eating harder foods like seeds and nuts. These features allowed individuals to crush and grind hard foods such as nuts, seeds, roots, and tubers in the back of the jaw which helped them survive in the savansa.
