F=ma

(3+9+5) = 3a

a=17/3 =5.67 m/s2 =5.7 m/s2

F=ma

3+9-5 =3a

a=7/3 =2.33 m/s2

c)

In X-direction

Fx = 9-5 =4 N

In Y-direction

Fy=3 N

Magnitude

F=sqrt[42+32] =5 N

Direction

a=5/3 =1.67 m/s2 =1.7 m/s2
