1)Beyond simply donating money, companies like Microsoft ,show commitment to philanthrophy   by paying employees $17 per hour for charity volunteer work.Again Microsoft company pays charitable contributions upto $12,000 per employee per year.This approach has led to recruitment of talented employees by companies.

2)Firms need to find what the employees are valuing the most at present .The most important recruitment tool for millennial generation is charity and social responsibility program.Current generation are more interested to relate their work to the causes that they give importance .Employees want to join companies which have socially minded goals. So companies in order to recruit top candidates in their companies,must engage themselves in philanthrophy and social responsibility ,rather than only donating big amount. Employees want to participate and be actively engaged in philanthropic and social responsibility program.

3)Startups are also trying to follow this trend of philanthropic work through  partnership with corporations which have philanthropic involvement .Companies are trying to put philanthropic components in their business in order to reach the millennials looking for job.Again companies like Microsoft pay employees $17 per hour for charity volunteer work.All these point out that company is truly dedicated to the cause.
