(I)Oxidation state of Cr in K2Cr2O4 =2(+1) +x +4(-2)= 0

Where x is the oxidation no. Of Cr

x=+6

Now oxidation state of Cr in Cr2O3,= 2x + 3(-2)=0

X=3

Here oxidation state of Cr is not same hence (I) is incorrect.

(II) Oxidation state of O in H2O2= 2(+1) + 2x=0

Hence x=-1

Oxidation state O in CO2 = 1(+4) + 2x=0

x=-2

Here Oxidation state of O in CO2 and H2O2 are not same.

(III) Oxidation state of S in SO_{​​​​​4}^{​​​​2-} = x+4(-2) = -2

, We get x= +6

Oxidation state of S in SO3= x+ 3(-2)=0

X=+6

Here, oxidation state of S in SO3 and SO_{​​​​​4}^{​​​​2-} are same

Hence (III) is the correct option.
