IDEO and Amazon are both successful companies. Use the attached template to compare and contrast their organizational cultures. The information can be searched on the Internet using Google or some other search engine. Try to find the most specific information you can. Recruitment is done based on the 14 key principles that Amazon follows. It more about the fir with Amazon culture.

Performance is based on the target achieved with due regards to cost, quality and customer satisfaction.

Recruitment is more on the creative thinking and innovative mindset of the candidates.

Performance is based on the value creation and products/service created.

Leadership Role

Founder and current Chairman Jeff Bezos have lead form the front. His principles and the letter to the employee has been instrumental in leading the company.

The founder David Kelley and current CEO Tim Brown have been instrumental in leading the company.

Employee performance

Amazon has become one of the top recruiters with its employee count exceeding 500,000 and keep growing. Employee are satisfied to say both in terms of work and pay package, with attractive bonus and stock options

IDEO employee performance could be attributed to the success it enjoyed in designing customer products and services.

Organization performance

Amazon has become one of World’s largest company with revenue exceeding $170 Billion

IDEO has been successful in designing various customer products and working out some of the innovative products such as the mouse. Its client includes Apple, Eli Lilly, coca cola etc.
