RFID is technology which works on radio frequency and it is used for the auto identification for different object. If the object, on which this RFID tag is attached is within the range of this radio waves then it sends the feedback back to this RFID reader.

It is a form of wireless communication that incorporates the use of electromagnetic or electrostatic coupling in the ratio frequency portion of the electromagnetic spectrum to uniquely identify an object, animal or person.

The technology has developed over the years and is now used in a wide range of application.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is the use of radio waves to read and capture information stored on a tag attached to an object, providing a unique identifier for an object. This technology is used in many industries and in a wide variety of applications as it can deliver a number of benefits for organisations.

  • Increase asset visibility. Being able to immediately locate everything you've ever misplaced or lost.
  • Improve employee productivity. As mentioned RFID technology does not require employee to be within the line of sight of an item or asset to locate it.
  • It prevent from Mitigate risk, theft and loss.

2. Anyone can easily remove tags from the object with  knife or any other tool, which will make your object unrecognizable by the RFID reader.

3. Like any other information system, RFID is also prone to virus attacks.

A denial of service attacks is the board concept of an RFID system system failure that is associated with an attack. These attacks are usually physical attacks like jamming the system with noise interference, blocking radio signal, r even removing RFID tags.
