1. Molarity = number of moles of solute / volume of solution in litres

Number of moles of solute = mass/ molar mass = 0.4729 /40 = 0.0118 mol

Molarity = 0.0118/0.0599 = 0.1973 M

Normality = molarity * number of OH- ions

Number of OH- ions in NaOH = 1

Normality = 0.1973 N
