Answer #1

Nylon 6.6 is manufactured by solution polymerization by condensing hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid in toluene solvent at higher temperature in an inert atmosphere.

nH2N-(-- CH2-)6—NH2 + n HOOC-(--CH2-)4—COOH

Hexamethylene diamine Adipic acid

?

[------NH—(--CH2-)6—NH – CO –( -CH2 -)4—CO----] n

Nylon-6,6 (polyamide)

For styrene

The propagation step is terminated when two radicals combine together to form a neutral species, known as coupling or combination or disproportionation, in which hydrogen transfer results in the formation of two molecules: one saturated and one unsaturated end group .R. Combination or Couplirg -CH-C + + . CCH CH CH2- Disproportionation
