Answer #1

Answer) Fatty acids

Reason - HDL stands for High-Density Lipoproteins. they contain highest ~55% Apolipoproteins, about 26-46% phospholipids, nearly 15-30% cholesteryl esters, about 3-15% triglycerides, and approximately 2-10% cholesterol. also, a single phospholipid molecule contains 2 Fatty acid chains. similarly, Triacylglycerol contains 3 Fatty acid chains.

Therefore, Fatty acids would be the primary component for the synthesis of HDL.

Which of the following statements is FALSE? Which of the following statements is FALSE? LDL is the main form in which cholesterol is transported to tissues. VLDL transports triacylglycerol synthesized in the liver to peripheral tissues. The cholesterol ester content of HDL is generally less than that of chylomicrons. Some fatty acids become complexed with serum albumin for transport in the blood to peripheral cells. Chylomicrons are lipoproteins that transport dietary fat from intestine to peripheral tissues.

Describe the steps involved in converting glycerol into triacylglycerol. Explain the roles of the citrate shuttle with regards to the fat synthesis pathway by describing how acetyl groups are transported into the cytosol and the paths the products of the cytosolic cleavage reaction take. As in glycolysis and the degradation of glucose, the degradation of fatty acids also requires an initial investment of ATP energy. State the reaction or reactions where ATP energy is needed before fatty acids can be...
