Q15. In order to increase the magnitude of study's size, applying t test-

t= (xm-miu)/S/square root(n)

Or, n=(t square*S square)/ (xm-miu)^2

So in order to increase the magnitude of study's size obtain large value S (sample standard deviation) , or to reduce the difference between sample mean and population mean

Q16. Ans is d .the national mean SAT score. The single sample t test will be applied .The null hypothesis taken to be the score of students after taking the Sat course, is equal to national mean SAT score.

Q17.The degree of freedom in t test is taken as

d.f=n-1 where n is sample size.

So, n=d.f +1

=16+1

=17

Thus, the test data has been collected from the sample of size 17.
