A person with a historyof morning headaches, vomiting, visual disturbances, and excessive thirst and urination etc is likely to be suffering from a rare type of noncancerous benign brain tumour called Craniopharyngioma , this disease starts near the pituitary gland .

Craniopharyngioma occur due to pressure build up in the brain, and can also affect other nearby parts of the brain. Hence the brain cannot function properly in those areas This tumorcauses a number of defects in the activity of the pituitary gland which is involved in the growth, and maintaining of hormone secretions throughout the body. This tumour thus causes the above symptoms .
