Answer #1

Answer 9: Water and methanol are infinitely soluble in water due to intermolecular hydrogen bonding.

Benzene(C6H6) is a non polar solvent. Among the substances given, ethanol(C2H5OH) , ammonia(NH3),sodium chloride(NaCl) and hydrogen bromide (HBr).are polar but CCl4 is a non polar solvent and so is readily soluble in benzene.

E) NaCl being nonpolar is insoluble in benzene as it is a polar molecule.
