Your operational department encounters production defect at the rate of three defects per 1,000 lines of code. During a vendor meeting, you come across another company that is of the same size of yours and in the same industry. This company’s production defect is two defects per 1,000 lines of code. How is the other company’s operation department operating? Is it better than your company (please answer how and why you feel this is occurring). The other company's operation department is performing better as it is having lesser defects per 1000 lines of code. It is better than our company. This could be because of the processes they are follwing and which we are not. we can set 2 defects per 1000 lines as the benchmark and should try to achieve that. in order to achieve that we should anlayse our current process and compare them with the processes of the other company. Then , the processes of our company have to be changed or improved accordingly
