Refer to the triple point diagram of water. It that point on the where the all three phases (solid, liquid and gas) co-exist.

Part a) If the pressure is below 611.73 Pa then only solid phase exist. Thus minimum 611.73 Pa should be applied

p1 = 611.73 Pa

Part b) There is pressure point in the water phase diagram above which only liquid phase of water (supercritical fluid) exists and no boiling is observed. That point of pressure corresponds to critical pressure and is equal to 22.06*106 Pa. Thus

p2 = 2.206*107 Pa
