In solid and liquid states due to the presence of strong intermolecular forces, the particles in solids and liquids have very little free space between particles, making the solids and liquids are incompressible. Thus, the option "A" is correct.

In the solid state of a substance the individual particles of the substance are in fixed positions with respect to each other because there is not enough thermal energy to overcome the intermolecular interactions between the particles. Thus, solids have a definite shape and volume.But, in case of liquid it takes the shape of the container in which it is kept.Thus , it is not a similar property of liquid and solid.Thus, the option "B" is wrong.

In both the solid and liquid state the particles are in close contact, to each other hence, solids and liquids have a definite volume. Thus, the option "C"is correct.

Due to presence of strong intermolecular forces, the particles of solids and liquids are very close to each other. Hence, the option" D" is correct.

Thus, option "A", " C" , and "D" are correct.
