B) Yes because np0(1 - p0) = 500 * 0.72 * 0.28 = 100.8

This is the two tailed test .

The null and alternative hypothesis is

H0 : p = 0.72

Ha : p \neq 0.72

\hat p = x / n = 350 / 500 = 0.7

Test statistic = z

= \hat p - P0 / [\sqrtP0 * (1 - P0 ) / n]

= 0.7 - 0.72 / [\sqrt(0.72 * 0.28) / 500]

= -1.00

P-value = 0.319

Fail to reject , greater
