Please solve ONLY question (2) with providing explanations of how you solve it.
You will see an example of what I’m asking for in Q4. A
Problem 2 (10 points) 15 kg of an ideal gas is contained in a piston-cylinder device at an initial pressure of 500 kPa and specific volume of 0.4 m3/kg. The gas is subsequently expanded to a specific volume of 1.3 m/kg During the expansion process, the pressure drops to 125 kPa and it is observed that the pressure varies linearly with specific volume. The gas is then pressurized using an isochoric process to a pressure of 400 kPa. a) Sketch this entire process on a P-v diagram and label all relevant states. b) Calculate the total amount of work, in J, for this process.

Can you solve this question with the steps? Thank you. 6. To combat global warming, a conceptual thermodynamic cycle design is considered which uses CO, as working fluid. Consider 0.5 kg of CO2 is utilized in a piston-cylinder assembly for this cycle in which piston is massless and friction can be neglected. The cycle consists of three processes as follows. Process 1-92: CO, initially at 27°C and 100 kPa, is compressed isothermally to a pressure of 200 kPa. Process 2-3:...

Question Number 1 (25 Marks) A mass of 0.5 kg of ammonia is contained in a piston-cylinder assembly, initially at T1 = -20°C and U1 = 391.11 kJ/kg. The ammonia is slowly heated to state 2, where T2 = 20°C and P2 = 0.6 MPa, and the pressure varies linearly with specific volume during this process. From state 2, the system isºcompressed at constant pressure until the ammonia becomes a fully saturated vapor. Assume that there are no significant change...
