Here is the most basic scenario of this experience from the shoppers perspective: assume the starting point is that you (as a shopper) are already in the store selecting your items. IPSO: help you understand with what.should be taken out of an information system.

Input: anything we wish to embed in a system for some type of use.i.e. keyboard,scanner,microphone,mouse..etc

What we input has a purpose but until it is processed and generated in some form of output it does not do us much good.

Process: processing takes place as an internal part of computer

act of taking inputted data and convert it into something usable.

Storage: we will saving data for period of time.

Output: usable format,come in many different format.

for example: monitor or printer for visual work and a speaker for audio

FOR GROCERY STORE:

In self-checkout systems, the customer is required to:

• scan the barcodes;
• input the types of items such as fruit and vegetable (usually with a touchscreen display);
• weigh bulk items if applicable (scale is usually in front of barcode scanner)
• and place all scanned items into a "bagging area". The weight observed in the bagging area is verified against previously stored information to ensure that the correct item is bagged, allowing the customer to proceed only if the observed and expected weights match.

Payment by various methods may be accepted by the machines.
