(A) The purpose of adding boron in the coolant is to increase the coolant ability to absorb the heat without being burned. The boron addition ensures that the life of the coolant is long.

(B). The above figure shows that as the boron concentration decreases the burn-up rate increases. Thus deteriorating the coolant life.
