A server has the roles Domain Controller, Application Server, File Server, Web Server and Print Server. Some users have been complaining that the server is getting too slow. After monitoring the performance of this server the following metrics were observed:
• Processor:%Processor time = 90%
• Memory:%Committed bytes in use = 75%

• Logical Disk: % Free space = 20%
Which of the following would best resolve this situation?

3.Move the Print server role to a new server

4.Install a new fan on the processor so it can run faster

5.Move the Application server role to a new server

Answer #1

If you are job is in small scale then there is nothing wrong in sharing roles in a single server.Moving the application server to the new server would significantly reduce load on the server. If you have huge amount of pdf or printing work then moving the print server also reduce the load on the server.Adding more ram might increase the system performance but having seaperate server is better than this to increase the speed.
