*density of a material is defined as the mass of a body of that material of unit volume. density = mass/volume.

*the density is constant for a given material and vary from material to material.when various objects are made from different materials they will show difference in density irrespective of size and shape.

*error in the measurement of density can occur due to error in the measurement of mass, dimensions like diameter, length, breadth and height of the object.
