Intangibles are meant to be implicit and they are not generally used explicitly, but sometimes, the intangibles are used explicitly, such as in mergers and acquisition processes and when the fair value of the company is being determined. It is important to take all the tangible as well as the intangibles for the purpose of improvement of any investment such as acquiring a new company or taking a loan from financial institutions, it is important to note for the intangibles in these cases.
