Answer #1

Given

We are given following hypothesis

\(H_{0}: \mu=45_{\mathrm{vs}} H_{1}: \mu<45\)

We have to determine whether this is left tailed or right tailed or two tailed test.

If alternative hypothesis is < type then type of test is left tailed test.

If alternative hypothesis is \(>\) type then type of test is right tailed test.

If alternative hypothesis is \(\neq\) type then type of test is two tailed test.

Since given alternative hypothesis is < type, this is a left tailed test.

Thus correct answer is

b. Left tailed test.
